Home to the capital city of Beijing, most travellers will hit up the North China during their trip. Unfortunately, many skip past other Northern provinces and stick to Beijing itself. Shrouded in history and culture, you’re missing out if you don’t do a bit of exploring. Henan and Hebei are known as the most “Chinese” parts of China since they are largely untouched by tourism. Other provinces include Tianjin, Shanxi, Shandong, and Beijing.
This traditional style hutong accommodation is located in the heart of Beijing, two minutes walk from the subway and 4km to Forbidden City. They’re great if you like a bit of privacy at night, but not for those who get claustrophobic easily! It is conveniently situated opposite a supermarket and just 10 minutes walk from Taiyuan South Station. You can’t go wrong with this great budget find.

This basic accommodation is located in a great spot in Henan. The house is a traditional hut and has a homely, warm feel to it. It’s decorated nicely and is clean and tidy. Guests should note that the room is on the 5th floor without lift access. Nearby there are a few shops, supermarkets, and a couple of parks to explore.
